Video preview image not displaying after toggling visibility

I've created a test page to show this behavior using the simplest jQuery I can.  

 

When we toggle or resize a brightcove video using jQuery, IE seems to lose the preview image.  

 

  1. On this page that there are three videos with preview images which load up just fine. http://extranets.beaconfire.us/adcouncil/2011-redesign/video-debug.html
  2. Click one of the three toggle controls to show and hide each of the three videos and in IE7-9 the player comes back without the image...just black.  
  3. Start a video playing and then toggle that container, in IE the video comes back playing where you left off.  In Firefox and Chrome, you start back at the preview image.

 

The Chrome and FF behavior is what we want.  What do we need to to in order to get IE to play ball?
