Hi,
Is it possible to create image stills based on a frame (time information) from the movie?
We have the player and all other creation integrated and now users need to manually override the video still from our integration. However they need to do so by playing the video and pause at the frame they want to use — is this possible to achieve through the API? I've been unable to find any solution to this.

Hi,
Currently I don't think there is any way, but I have sent a query to our product management team on whether this is something we could do.

Hi,
Thanks Robert.
It would be nice if you could give an update once you get a reply, especially a possible timeframe would be really great!

Hi,
No good news, I'm afraid. Our current image capture tool doesn't lend itself to that use. It's on Product Management's radar as a desirable feature, but no ETA on when it will be added.

Even if we aren't able to specify a particular frame, can we at least get back the "still" that the Player has when it opens "stopped." ?

You can access the video still using either the Flash-only player APIs or the smart player APIs. I'll show the APIs for the latter. First grab the current video:
From this object you can grab the videoStillURL:
