find videos by custom fields

Hi Developers,

is it possible to start a querry on custom video fields?

Would be much more efficient than fetching all videos and parsing teh result by myself.

As heard in today's video session, BC is working on that and it will be available later this year.

Until then, I have to fetch all videos and filter by myself.

No, unfortunately due to a variety of reasons this will not be in the api this year.

Out of curiosity, how do you want to search custom fields?  Show me videos where Custom value X = Y or show me all videos with X defined or Show me all videos that contain the value Y in any custom field or something else.

We´d like  to search  where Custom value X = Y.

Also to all the values in a X Custom Field.

It ´l be great to manage Categories.

Happily, you can now do this. The new read method, search_videos, provides the ability to perform much more flexible searches, including the ability to search custom fields. In addition, search_videos lets you combine ALL, ANY, and NONE searches in a single method call. It also enables fuzzy searching, so you can match based on closely-related forms of words.
