[Android] Player restarting video when device/emulator rotated

Has anyone else encountered this? It is happening in our app and also in the One Planet sample app provided by Brightcove. It doesn't matter if it's running in the device or the emulator. When the device or emulator is rotated (from portrait to landscape or vice versa) the video will restart.

 

I have a support ticket open for this (case number 168964). Kevin from the support team replied that it isn't expected behavior and wanted a sample. I let him know it is happening in the One Planet sample app. Haven't heard back yet...

 

Can anyone else in the community (or from Brightcove) throw me a bone here?

Hi... we have the same issue... were you able to resolve this?  When we flip the device the video sometimes starts over.  It seems to be a bug in the player for Android.
