Are there plans to include tracking of how many websites have embedded any of my video players/videos and what pages or domains those reside on?
Also, are there plans for the Brightcove system to report back which renditions, per video and aggregately for the account, are being used the most and the least? That would be helpful in determining the capabilities of our audience (ours is very global) and could help us refine our transcode profile.
Thank you

Hi,
These are great ideas so thanks for your feedback here. We have, in fact, been working to incorporate this kind of data in our Analytics module. Within the next couple weeks, we'll be releasing a few new reports including Top Domains, Top Traffic Sources, and Top Search Terms to help you see how people are getting to your content. We'll be expanding those reports soon after to provide the full data set for download.
Regarding the rendition metrics, we have discussed ways to surface this information but don't quite have the details worked out. I can confidently say it's a problem we are working to solve, I just can't provide any guidance on when we'll roll this out just yet.
Hope that helps,
Travis

Great news! I look forward to seeing the new reports and I'm glad to hear that you're working on the rendition metrics.

Hi Travis,
Where can I find information on the new Analytics tools? I'd like to know more about top search terms and traffic sources. Is this search engine data?
Thanks,
Merideth

Hi,
We recently added a little more documentation on all our reports, which is available here:

I'm planning to expand this soon to provide a lot more guidance on how to interpret and leverage the data. Regarding the Search Terms report, this provides a list of terms and phrases entered into search engines like Google and Yahoo that ultimately directed an audience to your content.
Hope that helps!
Travis
