Hello,
I've seen there is a new feature on the latest version of Brightcove that allows to view HTML5 statistics on the studio.
Since the keys are provided by player, I guess the statistics are coming from the HTML5 player. I'd like to know if videos that are viewed from a simple <video> tag are taken into account too, and if not, is there a way to add a custom tracking for this ?

Hi Gregory,
Our analytics capabilities presently rely on events that occur within the Brightcove player. As such, we are unable to provide metrics for custom experiences that don't leverage our player technology. That includes any HTML5 experiences that simply use the <video> tag directly.
We don't presently have any plans to provide analytics from non-Brightcove players, with the exception that we expect to support native apps that leverage our SDKs in the near future.
